Meet Rohani Foulkes

Rohani Foulkes creates spaces where commerce and community combine. Her business approach favors ethical labor practices, sustainability initiatives, and platforms that amplify underrepresented voices. You can see this demonstrated through her James Beard-nominated café Folk and the innovative retail concept Neighbor at Michigan Central Station.

By transforming retail and hospitality spaces into cultural gathering points, Rohani and her Team prove that businesses can challenge institutional inequalities while remaining commercially viable. Her curated destinations showcase local artisans, prioritize diverse representation, and evolve continuously through seasonal programming—creating environments where food, retail, and events become tools for social connection and positive change.
